Grainy is an AI routing layer. You give it any task — writing, coding, analysis, research — and it automatically picks the best AI model, optimizes your prompt, and returns the result. Think of it as one interface that replaces juggling ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and others.

When you submit a task, Grainy analyzes the content, complexity, and intent. It then routes your task to the model most likely to give you the best output — for example, Claude for nuanced writing, GPT-4o for quick factual queries, or Gemini for multimodal tasks. Your prompt is also automatically rewritten to extract the best result from that specific model.

Grainy currently routes across 8 models including GPT-4o, GPT-4o Mini, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Claude 3 Haiku, Gemini 1.5 Pro, Gemini Flash, Llama 3.1 405B, and Mixtral. We regularly add new models as they become available — you always get access to the latest without changing your workflow.

No. Grainy handles all model access for you. You don't need separate API keys or subscriptions — everything runs through your single Grainy account.

A task is one prompt submission. You type something in, Grainy routes it, and you get results back — that's one task. Viewing your history, starring results, adding tags, or exporting doesn't count as tasks.

We offer three plans:

Starter (Free) — 25 tasks per month. Great for trying Grainy out.
Pro ($29/mo) — 300 tasks per month. All models, cross-device sync, priority support.
Team ($79/seat/mo) — Unlimited tasks. Analytics, spend optimization, SSO, and admin controls.

Yes — the Starter plan is free forever with 25 tasks per month. No credit card required to sign up. You can upgrade anytime if you need more.

Tasks reset on the first day of each calendar month. Unused tasks do not roll over.

You won't be able to route new tasks until either your plan resets next month or you upgrade. Your existing task history, starred results, and tags are all preserved — nothing gets deleted.

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. If you downgrade, you'll keep your current plan features until the end of your billing period, then move to the lower plan.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe. All payments are processed securely — we never store your card details.

Stripe automatically emails you a receipt after each payment. If you need a formal invoice or need to update your billing details, reply to any receipt email or contact support.

Stripe will automatically retry your payment a few times over several days and email you with a link to update your payment method. Your account stays active during retries. If all retries fail, your plan reverts to Starter.

Click your profile icon → Manage account, or contact support and we'll handle it immediately. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep your features until then. Your data is never deleted.

If you're not happy within the first 7 days of a new subscription, contact us and we'll issue a full refund — no questions asked. After 7 days, we handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Grainy automatically selects the best model, but you can always see which model was chosen and why. The whole point is that you shouldn't have to think about which AI to use — Grainy handles that for you.

Before sending your task to the selected model, Grainy rewrites your prompt to get the best possible result from that specific model. Different models respond better to different prompt structures — Grainy handles this automatically so you don't have to.

Yes. When you're signed in, your task history, starred results, and tags sync across all your devices automatically. Sign in on your phone, laptop, or tablet and pick up where you left off.

Yes. You can copy any result to your clipboard with one click, or use the export feature to download your task history. We'll be adding more export formats soon.

Yes. We don't use your tasks or results to train any models. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We only store what's needed to provide the service (your task history and account info). See our privacy policy for details.

Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the app → Manage account. From there you can update your email, change your password, manage connected accounts, and more.

Contact support and we'll delete your account and all associated data within 48 hours. If you have an active subscription, it will be cancelled immediately with a prorated refund.
